GE Security is pleased to announce the immediate availability of two new Transition Series Mini-Mullion readers, the Model 100 and the Model 200. The new readers are single-frequency readers--Model 100 is 125 kHz and Model 200 is 13.56 MHz. Within each frequency, multiple technology credentials can be read. For example, the Model 100, operating at 125 kHz frequency, can read GE Security Proximity cards and HID Proximity II cards. The Model 200, operating at 13.56 MHz, can read Card Serial Numbers (CSN) from Mifare (ISO 14443A) and Vicinity (ISO 15693) credentials as well as CSN from HID iClass cards. The Model 100 and 200 have a small form factor of 1.72 x 4.0 x 1.0 inches (44 x 107 x 25.4 mm) and wide installation range. These flexible readers can be installed on metal or non-metal surfaces and output standard Wiegand data to the access control panel. For a GE M2000 or M5/M3000 installation with 8RPs, installers can use Wiegand Interface Units (WIU-2 or WIU-4) to convert Wiegand data to Supervised F/2F.
