Error Code 09

This error may sometimes be corrected by a simple settings change.

  1. On your computer, in the lower right-hand corner, near the time, locate and double-click the GE Icon GE Logo
  2. Click Edit Settings
  3. If   Direct Connection  is selected, click   Use Internet Explorer settings 
  4. If   Use Internet Explorer settings  is selected click   Direct Connection 
  5. Click   OK  then close the DisplayKEY eSYNC window.
  6. Try a manual eSYNC again.

Windows Firewall and Internet Explorer may block the operation of the DisplayKEY USB Cradle.

  • To correct this problem you may add the cradle software to be allowed by both programs.
  • This error may also be caused when your personal firewall software, phishing filters, etc. block the cradle software's access to the server.

    If you need help finding where and how to add the following files please contact support for your Internet Security software programs.
  • If this is the case you may need to add the following programs to a list of programs that are allowed access by your personal firewall, phishing filter and other software. The following three files should be found in the C:\Program Files\GE Security Supra\ folder:
    • proxydaemon.exe
    • syncservice.exe
    • syncinfoapp.exe
    The last program that needs to be added should be found in the C:\SSL\ folder:
    • stunnel-4.10.exe
