Daylight Saving Time Alert

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 changes the starting and ending dates for daylight saving time (DST) in the United States.  In 2007, DST began on Sunday, March 11, and ended on Sunday, November 4.


Certain GE Security products are affected by this change. Unless updates have been applied to products that rely on specific times to operate, the products may not operate as expected. Please review the information below to determine if you need to take action to ensure that the GE Security products you service, install, and use are compliant with DST dates.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) information for PC based applications not covered by specific bulletins

Platforms such as the PC-based OH2000 receiver, Premises Connect, and the GE/ITI Enterprise Downloader obtain their time from the host PC, so there is no update needed from GE for these applications.
